Evaluating the Front Matter of a Manual

Write a memo to your instructor evaluating the front matter of a manual of your choosing. (You can find manuals on the websites of manufacturers of computer hardware and software and consumer products such as cameras and audio equipment.) Does the manual explain its purpose and how to use it? Is its tone welcoming and professional? How might it be improved? Attach to your memo copies or printouts of the pages you are evaluating.
