Additional Assignments

1. Historians have long debated the role that Pontiac played in inspiring and organizing the native uprising or “conspiracy” against the British. Using the evidence in this unit, and additional sources if needed, work in groups to organize a debate in which the teams argue Pontiac’s role in the native uprising and whether the Indians’ actions represented a conspiracy against the British.
2. Conduct a research project looking for visual portrayals of Pontiac and Pontiac’s war. Analyze your findings, noting any changes over time, and present your research to the class.
