One of the benefits of a college education that Deresiewicz points out in paragraph 13 is finding peers “with whom to question and debate the ideas you encounter in the classroom.” Many nontraditional college students today who have jobs and families may have little time to debate issues raised in class with their peers. How could these students find another way to experience this important benefit if they cannot participate in “late-night bull sessions”?
