Generation of glucose from glucose 6-phosphate. Several endoplasmic reticulum (ER) proteins play a role in the generation of glucose from glucose 6-phosphate. T1 transports glucose 6-phosphate into the lumen of the ER, whereas T2 and T3 transport Pi and glucose, respectively, back into the cytoplasm.
