One-dimensional NMR spectra. (A) 1H-NMR spectrum of ethanol (CH3CH2OH) shows that the chemical shifts for the hydrogen are clearly resolved. (B) 1H-NMR spectrum of a 55 amino acid fragment of a protein having a role in RNA splicing shows a greater degree of complexity. A large number of peaks are present and many overlap.
