    Describe the daily patterns of someone you know who has unhealthy habits related to eating, exercise, drug abuse, risk-taking, or some other aspect of lifestyle. What would it take for that person to change his or her habits? Consider the impact of time, experience, medical advice, and fear.

    Use the library or the Internet to investigate changes over the past 50 years in the lives of young adults in a particular nation or ethnic group. What caused those changes? Are they similar to the changes reported in this text?
