This LaunchPad features a series of tutorials on reading multimedia texts. Through the use of a range of examples--from artwork such as collage, photographs, and poetry, but also Twitter feeds and radio essays --the tutorials illustrate that multimodal texts can include a wide range of design choices. Step by step, students learn to interpret the visuals, sounds, and movement that make up multimedia texts. By working through the tutorials, students will develop the vocabulary to explain how and why elements of a text work rhetorically. The tutorials have been placed within relevant chapters of the LaunchPad..
