The Digit Symbol subtest measures your speed of learning an unfamiliar code.
NOTE: On the actual WAIS, you would be given 90 seconds to complete as many boxes as you could. In our version, we’ll provide a timer that will begin counting as soon as you press the “Display Code Symbols” button and will stop when you press the “Submit” button.
Instructions: This test involves using a “code” that associates each number with a non-numeric symbol. Your task is to type the correct number into the box below each symbol. When you are ready to begin, press the “Display Code Symbols” button to reveal the code and start the timer. When you have finished the complete Test Number row, press the Submit button to check your answers.
