ACTIVITIES
Job Search Basics
Using a career Web site (monster.com or careerbuilder.com) or a specific company Web site, find an entry-level job posting that interests you, making sure it is appropriate for your work experience and qualifications. Then write a résumé and a cover letter for the position. Exchange your résumé and cover letter with a classmate, and get feedback on your documents.
What to Wear
Working in groups, use Google images (or a similar image search engine) to find examples of appropriate dress and appearance for an employment selection interview in a professional setting. Based on your findings, develop a list of recommendations for both men and women of appropriate employment interview attire and appearance. Share your results with the class.
