-Oh boy.
-What?
-My mom just sent an e-mail. She's all excited about this idea she has that our whole family should take off for two weeks and drive to see my grandparents. She's got my sister on board. And she says--
Oh, great! She's already got my grandparents figuring out dates. I'm supposed to let her know if early July is good. This is not happening.
-What are you going to do?
-Already on it.
-Dear Mom, I'd like to talk to you about our plans for next summer. When would be a good time for me to call? Or can we talk at home this weekend? I'll be there on Saturday morning. Love, Ray.
-There is no way I could spend two weeks in a car with my family. What are you going to tell her?
-Well, I just lined up a summer job, and-- Uh-oh. New message.
She says, "I'm trying to get this settled today, and I'm at work. Send me a quick email if the first two weeks of July work. Everyone else says it's good."
OK, this is trouble. A quick email isn't going to work.
-Nope, not likely. Good luck with that.
