Bertha M. Boye

Graphic artist Bertha M. Boye (1883–1930) won the contest for most beautiful image of the suffragette cause sponsored by the state of California to advertise the 1911 suffrage referendum. This image is an art nouveau graphic of a woman in front of the Golden Gate, the opening between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
