Nikita Khrushchev
Nikita Khrushchev (1894–1971) was the premier of Soviet Russia from 1958 to 1964. This letter was a response to Kennedy’s speech. Eventually he and Kennedy met behind closed doors and came to an agreement by which Russian missiles were withdrawn from Cuba and, secretly, American missiles were withdrawn from Turkey.
