Correspondence

Correspondence includes any textual communication — such as letters, faxes, and e-mail — as well as real-time communication using chat or text messaging. If you use chat or text messaging, be sure to save a transcript of the exchange. You can correspond with experts in a particular area; people who have been affected by or involved with an issue or event; staff at corporations, organizations, and government agencies; or even journalists who have written about a subject. In general, it’s helpful to explain who you are, what you are writing about, and why you want to correspond.
