Once ground rules have been established, develop a plan for completing the project. Plans do not have to be highly detailed, particularly at the beginning stage of the project. However, they should define the overall goals of the project and identify key steps that must be taken to achieve those goals. An effective plan will define deadlines for the completion of each step, identify who is responsible for specific activities associated with completing a given step, and suggest strategies for carrying out those activities.
