One is written by a fourteen-year-old middle school student, the other by a U.S. senator. You would certainly favor the senator’s editorial if the subject was U.S. foreign policy. If the subject was student perceptions about drug abuse prevention in schools, however, you might value the middle school student’s opinion more highly.
