Writers frequently engage in peer review, an activity in which writers give feedback to each other on rough drafts. When designed effectively and treated seriously, peer review can provide valuable information to writers about the effectiveness, clarity, organization, and design of their drafts. Few experienced writers, in fact, produce major documents without asking for feedback on their drafts. They’ve learned that it can help them enhance their composing processes, improve their documents, and increase the likelihood of successfully completing a major writing project.
