To learn more about the challenges associated with the use of DDT to prevent malaria, Ellen Page read several articles she found through her library’s periodical databases to get a thorough understanding of the issue. She also searched the Web for up-to-date news and information. Not surprisingly, her searches of the Web pulled up several unreliable sources, such as this one.

Ellen’s searches of the Web also brought her to the home page of the World Health Organization. On the site, she found an extensive collection of information about malaria, including a report about malaria control.

Ellen bookmarked the Web pages, saved copies of the pages on her laptop, and printed them.
