Review and Improve Your Draft

Writing an informative essay involves juggling information, identifying main and supporting points, providing evidence for those points, and framing your ideas to accomplish your purposes. Any one of these activities can pose a significant challenge to a writer. Add them together and you’ve created a complex task that is sure to require additional work beyond a first draft. As you review your draft, pay particular attention to how well you’ve focused your discussion of the main point, the clarity of your discussion, your use of information from sources, and the effectiveness of your introduction and conclusion.
