Working Together: Ask Whether Your Judgments Are Fair

Use feedback from other writers to assess the fairness of your judgments. Describe your subject, briefly define your criteria, present your evidence, and discuss your judgments. The other members of the group should pose reasonable questions about your choice of criteria, selection of evidence, and judgments, paying particular attention to the reasonableness of your judgments. Whenever possible, they should also suggest alternative judgments. Take notes on the doubts expressed by other members of the group so that you can consider them during revision.
