    are → is; the subject, Each, is singular
  6. Neither his expensive clothes nor his charm were enough to get him the job.

    were → was; “neither/nor”
  7. The committee were expected to produce its annual report two weeks early.

    were → was; the subject, committee, is treated as singular
  8. My grandmother is the only one of my relatives who still goes to church.

    (correct; who refers to one)
