In one of the sources you’ve located in your research, find a sentence of some length and complexity, and paraphrase it. Consider the effectiveness of your restatement. Is the meaning clear to your reader? Is the paraphrase written in your own language, using your own sentence structure?
A successful response to this question will consider the concepts reviewed in Chapter 3. Refer to Chapter 3, From Writing Summaries and Paraphrases to Writing Yourself into Academic Conversations as you reflect on your response to this activity.
