For this practice sequence, we would like you to examine the idea of copyright. That is, who owns the rights to images that the organizers of a community garden use to market their idea? What if you wanted to use that image in a paper? Or what if you wanted to use a published ad in your own paper? Under what circumstances would you be able to use that ad for your own purposes?
A successful response to this question will consider the concepts reviewed in Chapter 8. Refer to Chapter 8, From Synthesis to Researched Argument as you reflect on your response to this activity.
