Be aware of how your emotions affect the way you react to difficult or frustrating situations. Use your awareness ahead of time to try to control your negative reactions.

Identifying your strengths and weaknesses
Setting realistic goals
Formulating a plan
Checking your progress on a regular basis
If you aren’t satisfied with your emotional reactions, make an appointment in the campus counseling center to discuss your feelings and get help. Counselors can help you monitor and understand your emotional responses in a confidential setting.
