This chapter has introduced you to the ways people prefer to learn from their environment. The choice of what to do with that information is up to you. Successful college students learn to adapt to teaching styles that they may not prefer. They know what they have to do to be successful learners, they set goals, and they monitor their progress toward their goals. In a journal entry or readily accessible file, reflect on and write about what you have learned about learning styles and learning disabilities in this chapter and how you can apply the chapter information and strategies in college and in your career. Revisit and build upon your observations throughout your first-year experience.
