Here, staff can help you develop effective memory strategies. Pay a visit and ask about specific workshops or one-on-one assistance with memory.
Ask fellow students and your peer leader to share their own tips for improving memory.
Ask your instructor if there is someone on your campus who is an expert on memory strategies. If so, make an appointment to meet that person.
Your college or university library will have many books on the topic of memory. Some were written by researchers for the research community, but others were written for people like you. Download or check out a book on memory to see what you can learn. Here are some good options: Tony Buzan, Use Your Perfect Memory, 3rd ed., (New York: Penguin Books, 1991); Kenneth L. Higbee, Your Memory: How It Works and How to Improve It, 2nd ed., (New York: Marlowe, 2001); Harry Lorayne, Super Memory, Super Student: How to Raise Your Grades in 30 Days (Boston: Little, Brown, 1990). Ask your college librarian to help you identify some helpful online resources as well.
