Internet Versus Newspapers
Between 2000 and 2010, dozens of large and medium-sized newspapers went out of business, their once-robust readership drained away by the convenience of news available for free on the Internet. In 2009, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper ceased print publication and became an online-only news source.
