Almost everyone reads at least one critic or type of review regularly — of restaurants, movies, TV shows, sports teams, gizmos, video games, and so on. Pick a review by your favorite critic or, alternatively, a review you have read recently and noted. Then examine its style closely. Is it formal, informal, or casual? Technical or general? Serious or humorous? Full of allusions to stuff regular readers would get? What features of the style do you like? Do you have any reservations about its style? In a detailed paragraph, evaluate only the style of the reviewer or review (not the substance of the review), organizing your work to support a clear thesis.
