Favorites as percents. When we look at the online resources data set, we see that Google is the clear winner. We see that 406 reported Google or Google Scholar as their favorite. To interpret this number, we need to know that the total number of students polled was 552. When we say that Google is the winner, we can describe this win by saying that 73.6% (406 divided by 552, expressed as a percent) of the students reported Google as their favorite.
