Table 1.3 (page 26) presents data on a measure of school performance, grade point average (GPA), and a standardized test, IQ, for 78 seventh-grade students. Do these data lend further support to the previously found gender differences? Give graphical displays of the data and describe the distributions. Use significance tests and confidence intervals to examine this question, and prepare a short report summarizing your findings.
