Review: Writing News for Print

Rewrite the following news items. Make sure that your leads are hard-news leads, that they present information in the best order possible, that they are short and clear but tell everything essential and that they follow wire-service style. These may require more than just one sentence or one paragraph. Assume you are writing the leads for Thursday (Nov. 7) afternoon’s Springfield newspaper.
