An Increase in DemandIncreases in population and income, among other changes, generate an increase in demand—a rise in the quantity demanded at any given price. This is represented by the two demand schedules—one showing demand in 2012, before the rise in population and income, the other showing demand in 2013, after the rise in population and income—and their corresponding demand curves. The increase in demand shifts the demand curve to the right.
