Now that you’ve had a chance to explore the evidence, write a short essay (1–2 pages) on the following topic:
Create a defense of Aspasia’s involvement in Pericles’s political life, written from her point of view. Your imagined Aspasia may take a number of approaches to this challenge. For example, you may choose to have her mount a direct attack on Greek gender roles, or you may have her argue that her actions are completely consistent with her traditional role as a woman.
