Indians Working in a Spanish Sugar Mill Belgian engraver Theodor de Bry published many images of the European exploration and settlement of the New World. De Bry never crossed the Atlantic himself, instead using images and stories by those who did. This image depicts the exploitation of indigenous people in a Spanish sugar mill.
