FOR ABOUT A DECADE, DISNEY ANIMATION WAS DEFINED more by Pixar, the computer-animation studio it purchased in 2006, than by its original in-house animation studio. But Disney’s original studio has seen a resurgence in recent years with movies like Tangled (2010), Wreck-It Ralph (2012), and Frozen (2013). The latter became an international phenomenon, grossing over $1 billion worldwide, and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
