NEWS AS SATIRE Satirical news has become something of a cottage industry in recent years, stemming from Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update” segment and dominated by The Daily Show. Several Daily Show correspondents have gone on to their own news-related shows and have interviewed a variety of political leaders and prominent figures in the process.
