SEINFELD (1989–1998) was not an immediate hit, but it was in the ratings top three for the final five of its nine seasons. Now, over twenty-five years after its first episode, the show can still be seen in heavy syndication on TV. Produced by Sony Pictures Television, Seinfeld is the type of successful show the fin-syn rules targeted to keep out of the networks’ hands. The show also made news in 2015 when Hulu acquired exclusive streaming rights to all episodes.
