Just as approaches to journalism have varied over the years, a variety of newspaper types have arisen to fulfill different readers’ needs. These types (some of them published daily; others, weekly or monthly) include local, regional, and national papers as well as papers catering to specific ethnic groups or alternative perspectives on politics and values. With this diversification, newspapers have succeeded in reaching a wider array of communities.
