U.S. Department of State, Help Protect Our Ocean
Created in 1789, the U.S. Department of State is the federal department responsible for the government’s international relations and foreign policy. The department is led by the secretary of state, who is the president’s chief adviser on foreign affairs. In this video, current Secretary of State John Kerry explains how humans are damaging the oceans and tells us what we can do to help protect the ocean.
