China looks for alternative sources of energy

Synopsis

China, being one of the world’s top emitters of greenhouse gases, is taking steps towards renewable energy production. With the growth of wind turbines over the years, China is now producing about 10% of the world’s installed wind power. While wind power holds a lot of potential, it still has its setbacks, as wind farms are often located in remote areas away from established electrical grids. Despite this, China may soon be a global leader in renewable energy production.
