The Dictator Game Here a researcher introduces a fairness game to a woman from Papua New Guinea, one of the foraging societies. Using games, researchers were able to compare fairness behaviors among different types of societies—those that depend on foraging, farming, natural resources, or industry. Because there are four groups and each participant is in only one group, the results can be analyzed with a one-way between-groups ANOVA.
