Are the Lines Parallel? Part II There are always two ways to examine the pattern of the bar graphs. Here, we have drawn three lines, one connecting the two beverages under each of the three medication conditions. Were the three lines to continue, the two medication lines would eventually intersect with the horizontal placebo line, an indication of an interaction that can be confirmed by conducting a hypothesis test.
