Weenie: To me, a reinforcement schedule is the patterns that is used for reinforcement. So technically, it's saying, are you going to get something out of it continuously in this specific pattern, or is it something that just happens every once in a while?
I know when I'm going to my uncle's house down South, I know every time I go there, I always get money to go back home with. So to me, that's a fixed reinforcement, because every time I go, he always gives me some money to go back home with.
DES'ZA'RAE: When I think of fixed interval, I think more so of time. So I guess fixed interval could be like me getting my paycheck every two weeks. It's not really dependent on my performance or anything. I'm not getting paid by how well I did or getting bonuses. But more so, I can expect that paycheck every two weeks.
Weenie: That is with my parents. Whenever I get an A, like, let's say this semester, I get an A, doesn't mean I'll get $20. But next semester, they might surprise me and give me $20. So it's not something that happens every single time. I would personally check social media less if it was a fixed time, because that would allow one, for me not to use so much time on it, and two, it would just make it easier instead of going refresh, refresh, and you never know if something new came up or not.
