Chapter Review

Getting organized is one of the most important strategies, not just for college success but also for life. Most students are quite motivated to stay on top of their workload at the beginning of the semester, but often the demands of school, work, and life can derail the best intentions. This chapter gives you the strategies to keep on top of your work.

To review this chapter, choose one or more of the following strategies:

  1. Try to explain what you have learned, or at least part of it, to someone you know. Explain the key concepts and give some of your own examples to illustrate those concepts.
  2. Select at least one of the organization strategies in this chapter, and make a commitment to try it out.
  3. If you skipped any of the Practice It activities throughout the chapter, go back and do them now as a way to deepen your understanding of the material.
