Although answers may vary widely, students should describe some sort of nonverbal behavior such as gum chewing, playing with a pencil or pen, tapping feet, cracking knuckles, wringing or rubbing hands, unnecessary repetitive grooming behaviors, plucking, fiddling, hair twirling, etc., which are habitual patterns they fall into when bored, preoccupied, restless, or anxious.
