Man: Now that this is over and done with, I can come clean and tell you the truth. I'm actually doing this for your benefit so that you can learn a valuable lesson. I hope that you can take my advice as you move forward to wherever it is you're going. I'm the one who told Sharon about you and Lennon. What? You? Yeah, it was me.
I mean, come on. Why would you tell me that? Of course I'm going to turn around and tell her. You and your naivete really crack me up. You had to know that I've been gunning for you ever since you got the promotion, right? And what do you do? You turn around and hand me your job like a present on a silver platter.
The truth is I always knew I was going to take you down one way or another long before the whole Lennon thing. All those times I helped you out when you fell behind-- well, I kept track of each and every task that I did that you took credit for. I was just waiting for the opportunity to tell Sharon how much you've been riding my coattails. But there was never a perfect time. And it would have blown up into this whole your word against mine thing. I didn't want the hassle. So I just kept putting on my happy, smiley friend face waiting for the right opportunity.
So here's your lesson for the day, children. Be careful who you tell things to. I mean, grow up already. Just because someone plasters a smile on their face and acts all nicey nice doesn't mean they're your best friend. I know, I can hear you now. That is so cynical. You are a horrible person.
Yeah, well maybe I am cynical. Maybe I'm even a bad person. But I'll tell you something else about me. I've got your job, and you're unemployed.
