Figure 6.12 Tropical seasonal forest/savanna biome. Tropical seasonal forests and savannas have warm temperatures like the tropical rainforests, but also distinct wet and dry seasons due to the movement of the intertropical convergence zone. As a result, this biome has trees that shed their leaves during the dry season. An example of this biome can be found in the Masai Mara National Reserve of Kenya.
