Question 22.3

22.3 IQ scores. The mean IQ for the entire population in any age group is supposed to be 100. Suppose that we measure the IQ of 31 seventh-grade girls in a Midwest school district and find a sample mean of 105.8 and sample standard deviation of 14.3. Treat the scores as if they were an SRS from all middle-school girls in this district. Do the scores provide good evidence that the mean IQ of this population is not 100?
