Figure 10-11  RIVUXG Red Dwarf and Brown Dwarf This false color NASA Hubble Space Telescope image shows a young red dwarf with spectral class M and a much smaller brown dwarf with spectral class T only 200 AU away. The brown dwarf emits most of its light at infrared wavelengths, so an infrared camera was used to record this image. Called CHXR 73 B, this tiny brown dwarf is only 12 times more massive than the planet Jupiter.
