Figure 14-17 RIVUXG The Coma Cluster This rich, regular cluster is about 300 million ly from Earth. Almost all of the spots of light in this image, and there are thousands of them, are individual galaxies of the cluster. Two giant elliptical galaxies, NGC 4889 and NGC 4874, dominate the center of the cluster.
