CHAPTER 31
No matter which major you select, oral presentations will be part of your academic career. As an engineering major, for example, you might prepare a design review of your major project. A student of history might deliver a presentation linking a historical event with a contemporary issue. Nursing majors might be asked to communicate a treatment plan to a medical team. Rather than being a formal public speech, classroom presentations are another type of presentational speaking; see Chapter 30 for a review.
